Customer Review: Oh…so that’s how it works.
My GPS was like a magic box to get me from my truck, out into the woods, then back to my truck. Now I know how and why it works. Plus I can go into the Setup area (which was scary before) and understand the options (like how to switch to UTM which has helped me find my tree stand in the dark of morning!). I would recomend this DVD even if you already have a GPS but don’t think you’re getting the most out of it.

I was very disappointed in this product. I had hoped for a instructional DVD and info to help me decide which GPS to purchase. What I got seemed to be more of an advertisement for the Garmin Etrex Vista. Watching people hiking while looking at their GPS doesn’t provide much useful information. The narrator came across as a salesman rather than an instructor. At no time did he provide any useful information on the UTM grid mapping system which is rapidly replacing the old coordinate system as the preferred mapping system for GPS.

Since I got this video, I have purchased a Garmin 60csx (from Amazon, BTW-best price) which I am extremely happy with. I also purchased a specific 60csx instructional video from Bennett Marine Video which does a much better job.

Customer Review: In Fine Foarm
I was looking for a rugged waterproof floating case that I didn’t have to unzip to use the GPS. This foarm case is up to the task. Included lanyard allows GPS unit to be worn FUNCTIONALLY around your neck, will also attach to a belt if desired. It fits my 76csx like a glove but easily unzips for battery changes and map downloads. “Peel and stick” screen protector was easy to apply with included detailed instructions. A plastic carabiner type clip is also included to attach to a pack or kayak.

Customer Review: Great Case
This case has an interesting design. There is no clear vinyl window covering the screen like most other cases. These vinyl windows usually scratch and get clouded over time. With this case, you place a screen protector right onto the GPS itself. If it gets scratched over time, it can be easily replaced.

The screen and control buttons are slightly recessed below the case surface which further helps to protect these critical areas. The case fits snug, protects well and is well made.

As far as the Foarm company, one of the clear screens (they send 2 with each case) was slightly damaged in shipping. I called them and they happily sent me extras and refused to take a payment.

If you’re looking for a good case, I’d seriously consider this one.
